Bob Watkins

Bob currently participates on the Boards of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation; Chair, Cali Baja Mega Region; the San Diego History Center, San Diego Art Alliance. Previously Chair, San Diego Regional Airport Authority; President, San Diego County Board of Education.  He is Managing partner of Tollbridge Ventures LLC, a seed capital venture fund; a Board Member of Armor Designs; Power Waste Gasification LLC and MLEP LLC; Former Board Member of Regenesis Biomedical and Urigen Pharma, Inc.  He is a founding member and Trustee of the San Diego National Sports Foundation, the organizer and builder of the U.S. Olympic Training Center in San Diego. A Board member of the San Diego Sports Alliance Foundation, member Sports San Diego, and previously served on the Board of Directors for San Diego International Sports Council; in 1980 Bob brought the New Zealand  “All Blacks” to San Diego for Match against the USA. In Mid 90’s brought USA 7’s to San Diego’s Petco Park, a Board member of the YMCA of San Diego County; was Chairman of the Board of the San Diego County American Red Cross; and was the President of the San Diego Natural History Museum’s Board of Trustees.  He is also a founder and three-term President of United States Rugby. President So. Calif. RFU and The Pacific Coast RFU, the Old Mission Beach Athletic Club(OMBAC). Formed the NISA professional Soccer League and 1904 FC. He was recently inducted to the USA Rugby Hall of Fame. Bob is Chairman Emeritus of the US Rugby Foundation. Bob is a graduate of San Diego State University.
